- Counseling
The Mind-Body Center of University Women's HealthCare
specializes in women's mental health. Staffed by Sheila Ward, a
Certified Nurse-Midwife and Psychiatric Nurse-Practioner, the Mind-Body
Center provides a variety of therapeutic approaches to developing
coping strategies that fit individual situations.
Make an appointment with the Mind-Body Center for help with:
- Treatment of psychiatric illness during pregnancy
- Postpartum depression
- Grief counseling for miscarriage or pregnancy loss
- General counseling for women's health issues, including menopause
- Nutritional counseling - Our Licensed Dietitian
is also a Certified Diabetes Educator and Certified Trainer in Adult
Weight Management. Services include individualized nutrition assessments
and diet plans for treatment of diabetes, pre-diabetes, PCOS, infertility,
high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol and triglycerides, and other
health issues as well as for weight control and healthy pregnancy.
