Dr. Rita Fleming is the recipient of the prestigious Thomas B. Calhoon Teaching Award. Each year, the students vote for a basic sciences/clinical teacher they believe is most deserving of this award. It is given in memory of Dr. Thomas B. Calhoon, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Physiology from 1967 - 1980. Dr. Calhoon gave unselfishly to students, faculty and colleagues his time, energy and ingenuity to the teaching of the basic concepts of Physiology.
Dr. Fleming is a most worthwhile awardee and we are proud to count her among the faculty and practitioners at The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health. |
